EDUCATIONAL INCENTIVES. A. Upon prior written approval of the courses to be taken, the county manager shall see that the COUNTY reimburses full tuition and required lab fees for courses taken by an employee at an accredited college or university or for correspondence courses completed from an accredited school, college or university, provided such course directly applies to the employee’s employment with the Elko County Sheriff’s Department. The County will reimburse actual per credit costs. The employee must receive a grade of C or better in order to receive reimbursement. Employees shall not take more than two classes at any one time.
