Educational Stipend. Effective July 1, 2001, the District will provide an educational stipend for those employees who possess an earned college degree in excess of the educational level required in the minimum requirements in the adopted classification specification for their regularly assigned classification. In order to be eligible for this stipend, the employee must possess at least an earned BA/BS from an accredited college or university. The stipend for 2001-2002 is $1125 per year.
Educational Stipend. Employees shall be eligible for an annual educational stipend paid in July of each year. The stipend will be for educational level above the minimum qualification required for hire into that classification. The stipend will be two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) for each of the following levels: Associate Degree, Baccalaureate Degree, and Master’s Degree. The degrees must be job related. The classifications eligible to receive this stipend are as follows: District Forest Ranger Regional Forest Ranger Ranger Pilot Supervisor Game Warden Lieutenant Game Warden Pilot Supervisor Game Warden Sergeant Marine Patrol Lieutenant Marine Patrol Pilot Supervisor Marine Patrol Sergeant
Educational Stipend. Any employee who holds an Associate’s Degree will receive a $300 annual stipend, any employee who holds a Bachelor’s Degree will receive a $500 stipend, and any employee who holds a Master’s Degree will receive a $700 stipend. The stipends will be paid in 24 equal installments with the employee’s regular wages. To be eligible for this stipend, the employee must provide the Human Resources Department with an official copy of the transcript supporting the conferring of the Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree. Payments will begin effective with the next full pay period following the employee’s submission of the proper documentation.
Educational Stipend. Employees with job-related degrees above any minimum qualifications shall be eligible for an educational incentive stipend. It is the responsibility of the employee to inform the department and provide documentation of the degree of higher education in order to receive this incentive stipend. The stipend will be based on the following levels of education that are above any minimum qualifications required for hire into a classification. Degrees must be job-related. The amounts below shall be added to the base as appropriate. Associate Degree $.12/hour Baccalaureate Degree $.24/hour Master’s Degree or above $.36/hour Stipends shall be paid only for the highest degree obtained above any minimum qualifications required for hire into the position.
Educational Stipend. 19.1.2.1 A unit member who possesses an earned Master’s Degree shall receive an annual stipend of $1,750.
19.1.2.2 Unit Members possessing a Master’s Degree shall submit their original transcripts to the Human Resources Department.
19.1.2.3 Original Transcripts submitted after August 31st will be prorated based on the date of submission.
19.1.2.4 Stipend will take affect the succeeding month of the submissions of original transcripts.

Administrators who receive a successful and effective performance evaluation will receive a stipend upon acquiring an advanced degree that relates to their job performance and to the needs of the District: Second Masters Degree $665, Education Specialist Degree $1,330 and Doctorate Degree $2,000. Educational Stipend. A. The District shall provide each full-time bargaining unit member with a one thousand two hundred dollar ($1,200.00) stipend to be used for educational purposes, retirement annuity, or ▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇. Part-time bargaining unit members will receive an education stipend in this section at a pro-rated rate.
B. Teachers hired after the start of the school year shall receive their educational stipend at a pro-rated rate during the first non-pay week after their first instruction day. The payment for all other teachers shall occur during the non-pay week between the first and second pays in September.

Bachelor’s Degree Payment: Effective the pay period including July 1, 2016, permanent employees who achieved a Bachelor’s degree in a job-related discipline from an accredited institution of higher learning and who have not already received the Bachelor’s degree stipend under the prior collective bargaining agreements and who submit adequate documentation of the degree shall receive a five hundred dollar ($500) lump sum payment. Employee who complete a qualifying Bachelor’s degree and satisfy the above criteria after July 1, 2016 shall be eligible for the five hundred dollar ($500) payment within 60 days of the agency’s receipt of the required documentation. Masters Degree Payments: Effective the pay period including July 1, 2009, permanent employees who have achieved a Master's degree in a job-related discipline from an accredited institution of higher learning and who submit adequate documentation of the degree shall receive a one thousand dollar ($1,000) lump sum payment. Employees who complete a qualifying Master's degree and satisfy the above criteria after July 1, 2009 shall be eligible for the one thousand dollar ($1,000) payment within 60 days of the agency's receipt of the required documentation. Associates Degree Payments: Effective the pay period including July 1, 2009, permanent employees who have achieved an Associate’s degree in a job-related discipline from an accredited institution of higher learning and who submit adequate documentation of the degree shall receive a two hundred and fifty dollar ($250) lump sum payment. Employees who complete a qualifying Associates degree and satisfy the above criteria after July 1, 2009 shall be eligible for the two hundred and fifty dollar ($250) payment within 60 days of the agency's receipt of the required documentation. Effective upon legislative approval but no sooner than July 1, 2019, employees in the classification of Deputy Warden who have not previously received a lump sum payment under the prior collective bargaining agreement for having obtained an Associate's, Bachelor's, and/or Master's Degree shall be eligible for the same benefits as provided in the NP-8 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
