Effect of Leaves of Absence on Accrued PTO. Employees do not accrue PTO time during leaves of absence whether the leave of absence is unpaid or compensated through short- or long-term disability. In any month in which an employee’s leave begins, whether the leave is unpaid or compensated through short- or long-term disability, the employee will only accrue PTO in such a month if the leave begins after the 16th of that month. In any month in which an employee’s leave ends, whether the leave is unpaid or compensated through short or long-term disability, the employee will only accrue PTO in such a month if the leave ends before the 16th of that month. For months in which an employee does not accrue PTO, the employee’s PTO allotment will be reduced using the table in Section 15.01(a)ii or 15.01(a)iii, as applicable.
