Other Leaves of Absence. In the event that you are on a bona fide leave of absence, not otherwise described in this definition, from which you have not returned to employment with the Company or an Affiliate, your Separation from Service has occurred on the first day on which your leave of absence period exceeds six months or, if earlier, upon your termination of employment (provided that such termination of employment constitutes a Separation from Service in accordance with the last sentence of the first paragraph of this definition).

Other Leaves of Absence. Upon request the company will grant a personal leave of absence for an employee for up to six (6) months without pay when such request is for good and sufficient reasons. During such leave of absence, seniority shall be maintained, but shall not accrue.
Other Leaves of Absence. A. Leave Without Pay to Work at the State Legislature. With the approval of the chief executive, and upon request of a member of the State Legislature, a regular Employee may be granted a leave of absence without pay to render service at the State Legislature. The leave without pay shall be for a duration of no more than twelve (12) months. The Employee shall have return rights as provided in paragraph I.
Other Leaves of Absence. Eligible employees shall be entitled but not limited to all rights and privileges provided in the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993; and other federal and state laws regulating pregnancy and/or medical leave.

A leave except where required by law must not interfere or conflict with the work of the department. The length of service and quality of performance of the employee must merit such leave. All requests for "Personal Reasons" must be explained. The final decision to grant or deny a leave rests with the City Attorney. All such leaves are without pay. Management's present practices with regard to this leave will be continued during the term of this Memorandum of Understanding. For Family and Medical Leave, see Article 12.
