Election Leave. 16.5.1 Upon written application, employees who are candidates in a Federal, Provincial or Municipal election will be granted leave of absence without pay to campaign for the election. 16.5.2 Employees will be entitled to return to their previous positions following the leave. 16.5.3 Employees who are elected to Federal, Provincial or Municipal office will be granted a leave of absence without pay for one term of office.
