Element Average. The average of the performance element ratings which is used in the merit promotion process and to determine eligibility for awards. It is a computation summary derived in the performance evaluation process. Each performance element in the employee’s appraisal is assigned a rating of 1, 3, or 5. The individual performance element ratings of 3 and 5 are added together and the total is divided by the number of performance elements and the resulting number is the Element Average.

Element Average. In order to differentiate degrees of above average performance to determine eligibility for awards, the Element Average will be computed based on the rating of each individual element. An Element Average is not computed for those employees with a Level 1 rating because they are not eligible for awards. Only performance element ratings of 3 and 5 will be used. All elements are given equal weight in computing the element average. An Element Average is not computed on NHT appraisals. Those new hires and trainees covered by NHT will be rated on two elements and will be rated “Pass” or “Fail”. For purposes of awards, “Pass” corresponds to an average of 3.0 and “Fail” corresponds to a rating of 1.0.

  • Average Contribution Amount For purposes of this Agreement, to ensure that all employees enrolled in health insurance through the City’s HSS are making premium contributions under the Percentage-Based Contribution Model, and therefore have a stake in controlling the long term growth in health insurance costs, it is agreed that, to the extent the City's health insurance premium contribution under the Percentage-Based Contribution Model is less than the “average contribution,” as established under Charter section A8.428(b), then, in addition to the City’s contribution, payments toward the balance of the health insurance premium under the Percentage-Based Contribution Model shall be deemed to apply to the annual “average contribution.” The parties intend that the City’s contribution toward employee health insurance premiums will not exceed the amount established under the Percentage-Based Contribution Model.

  • Average Daily Balance To get the "Average Daily Balance" of Purchases, we take the beginning balance of your Credit Card account each day, add any new Purchases, and subtract any Cash Advances, payments, or other credits which were applied to Purchases, unpaid FINANCE CHARGES, late charges, membership fees, and other fees. If you paid the Purchases balance in full by the Payment Due Date in the previous billing cycle, in the current billing cycle we will credit payments otherwise applicable to Purchases based on our allocation method as of the first day of the current billing cycle.   • Preceptor Differential The Hospital shall pay a differential of $1.50 per hour to a nurse who is designated by nursing management to serve as a preceptor to provide on-the-job training to newly hired nurses. One differential will be paid per shift per orientee to the primary preceptor for all hours served as the primary preceptor for that shift. Preceptor will only be paid while the newly hired nurse is in a one-to-one status. Preceptor is a voluntary assignment and the nurse has the option to refuse the preceptor assignment.
