Elementary Parent/Guardian Conferences. The parents of each elementary school child, beginning with kindergarten, shall be entitled to no fewer than two (2) parent-teacher conferences per school year. The parents of kindergarten children shall be entitled to not less than one (1) parent-teacher conference per school year for half-day (1/2) session and not less than two (2) for full-day sessions. Nothing in this section shall be construed to mean that teachers shall not continue as in the past, to schedule individual conferences in addition to those provided for herein with a parent where the parent or teacher requests such a conference because of problems concerning the pupil. i. Though not required, each teacher shall make a reasonable effort to complete first conferences before winter break and second conferences before April 30. ii. Each teacher shall at his/her option schedule morning, noon-time, afternoon, evening, and weekend conference appointments that are convenient to the teacher and the parent. Telephone conferencing is acceptable only when the teacher and parent agree that after reasonable effort, they are unable to schedule a face-to-face conference. iii. In the event that further legislation is enacted concerning parent- teacher conferences, the Union shall, during the term of the Agreement, have the right to reopen negotiations on this section.

A standard form (see appendix) agreed upon by Superintendent and Union, shall be issued for use by all teachers/schools in the system for parents' invitations to these conferences. The connotation of the invitation for the first conference shall be that the conference is required. The connotation for the invitation for the second conference shall be that the conference is voluntary. ii. Each teacher shall at his/her option schedule morning, noon-time, afternoon, evening, and weekend conference appointments that are convenient to the teacher and the parent. Telephone conferencing is acceptable only when the teacher and parent agree that after reasonable effort, they are unable to schedule a face-to-face conference. iii.   • SPECIAL CONFERENCES Special conferences for important matters may be arranged between the Union and the designated representative of the Board upon the request of either party.

  • Parent-Teacher Conferences A. Unit member shall be available at mutually arranged times during the regular school day to confer with parents regarding learning difficulties, student progress and/or behavioral problems a student may be experiencing. Unit members are encouraged to arrange a meeting or conference with parents before or after the regular school day if both time and place are mutually agreeable. B. In the event that a bargaining unit member does not communicate with a parent on the established date for parent unit member conferences as per the calendar adopted by the Board, a reasonable attempt to contact that parent will be made. A reasonable attempt constitutes a phone call or email. If that contact is not returned, the bargaining unit member shall not be obligated to make further contact.

  • Conferences and Meetings Attend meetings with Contractor, such as preconstruction conferences, progress meetings, job conferences and other project-related meetings, and prepare and circulate copies of minutes thereof.

  • Conference Telephone Meetings Directors or members of any committee of the Board may participate in a meeting of the Board or such committee by means of conference telephone or similar communications equipment by means of which all persons participating in the meeting can hear each other, and such participation in a meeting shall constitute presence in person at such meeting.

  • Parent Conferences A. 1. Elementary and exceptional education schools shall be dismissed early a minimum of four (4) half days during the school year to grant teachers time for parent-teacher conferences.

  • Professional Conferences Professional conferences are those conferences sponsored by educational organizations, institutions of higher learning, and government and industry concerning teaching, learning and educational research. When a full-time or part-time faculty member’s attendance at a professional conference conflicts with his/her regular assignment, the faculty member must submit a request for attendance to the appropriate Xxxx, Director, or Supervisor. If granted, the attendance at the conference will be considered leave with pay, and a follow-up report of the conference shall be submitted to the appropriate Supervisor.

  • Labour Management Meetings The committee meeting shall normally be held every second month however, either party may call a meeting of the Joint Labour Management Committee. The meeting shall be held at a time and place fixed by mutual agreement but no later than fourteen (14) calendar days after the initial request, unless mutually agreed.

  • Meetings and Conferences ‌ From time to time the Government may require attendance at Government conferences and meetings at no additional cost to the Government.

  • Evaluation Conference The final evaluation conference shall occur not later than the end of the fall term. The purpose of the final evaluation conference is to discuss with the probationary employee the results of the evaluation and announce the team’s recommendation. The evaluation team shall determine what additional evaluation activity shall occur during the spring term. If the team recommends that the District not employ the professor for the following year, no evaluation activities in the spring are necessary.

  • Incident Event and Communications Management a. Incident Management/Notification of Breach - DST shall develop, implement and maintain an incident response plan that specifies actions to be taken when DST or one of its subcontractors suspects or detects that a party has gained material unauthorized access to Fund Data or systems or applications containing any Fund Data (the “Response Plan”). Such Response Plan shall include the following: i. Escalation Procedures - An escalation procedure that includes notification to senior managers and appropriate reporting to regulatory and law enforcement agencies. This procedure shall provide for reporting of incidents that compromise the confidentiality of Fund Data (including backed up data) to Fund via telephone or email (and provide a confirmatory notice in writing as soon as practicable); provided that the foregoing notice obligation is excused for such period of time as DST is prohibited by law, rule, regulation or other governmental authority from notifying Fund. ii. Incident Reporting - DST will use commercially reasonable efforts to promptly furnish to Fund information that DST has regarding the general circumstances and extent of such unauthorized access to the Fund Data.
