Eligibility for Temporary Shifts. Employees on approved sick leave may submit bids for temporary shifts open on the current bid, provided they submit from their health care provider by the bid closing date and time, documentation stating they are released to assume duty no later than the effective start date of the shift bid on.

  • Eligibility for Sick Leave Subject to the provisions herein, employees and officers (hereinafter called "employees") who are absent from their duties because of illness or disability are eligible for sick leave.

  • Eligibility for Leave All regular full-time employees shall be eligible for paid leave. Further, all regular part-time employees shall receive paid leave on a ration of paid leave time accrued to the number of hours worked in the work week.   • Temporary and Casual Employees The provisions of this Article do not apply to Casual Employees, and Temporary Employees who have been hired in a position of less than six (6) months.

  • Part-Time and Temporary Employees 16.1. A part-time employee is one who is hired to work regularly twenty-four (24) hours per week or less. Except as expressly provided in the circumstances described in Article 16 (3) hereunder, a temporary employee is one employed for a special project or a specified time, in either case, not to exceed three (3) months except by mutual agreement, or in the case of students, the academic vacation period, or for a specified leave of absence. The Employer shall notify the employee and the CAW of the nature and anticipated duration of all temporary employment.

  • Temporary Employees 3.3.1 A temporary employee is an employee who is hired for short-term work assignment which is not ongoing (i.e. normally 12 months or less and not extending beyond 24 months). The employee's benefits and working conditions are as per Article 34 (Temporary Employees).

  • Compensation for Holidays Falling Within Vacation Schedule If a paid holiday falls on or is observed during an employee's vacation period, he/she shall be allowed an additional vacation day with pay at a time mutually agreed upon by the Employer and employee.
