Eligibility to receive sick leave. CRITERION: The member (or a member of his/her immediate family) has been diagnosed with a medical condition that will require the prolonged/extended absence of the member from duty, and will result in a substantial loss of income due to the exhaustion of all paid leave available. (“Immediate family” will be as defined in the current CBA.)
