Common use of Emergency Duty Leave Clause in Contracts

Emergency Duty Leave. A full-time Faculty member who is a member of the National Guard or organized Reserves of a United States Military Service and who is ordered to emergency duty because of riot, flood, or other disaster shall be granted leave of absence for the duration of that emergency duty. The Employer shall be obligated only to pay an amount equal to the difference between the Faculty member’s salary as computed on a daily basis and the reservist’s daily base stipend if that stipend is less than the Faculty member’s daily rate. The Employer shall be obligated only to pay the above difference for a maximum period of thirty (30) calendar days.
