Common use of Employee Initiated Training Clause in Contracts

Employee Initiated Training. (a) Where an employee makes application to attend a training program the Company may: approve leave of absence, where necessary with pay or partial pay or without pay, and/or choose to defray any or a portion of the cost of the employee’s training dependent on the nature of the program and the degree to which it is career related. The cost of the training includes: tuition, examination fees, entrance or registration fees, course-required books, or other legitimate expenses as determined by the Company. The payments provided for in this section will be dependent on the employee’s successful completion of the training program. Reference “Tuition Reimbursement Request/Payment Form” – Form 4100.
