Employee Sick Leave Bank Withdrawal. The use of the employee sick leave bank is available to all teachers and will follow the guidelines set forth in Article 14.2, Section A., except that such leave: • will be granted only for teacher illness and not for family illness. • is intended for extremely serious or catastrophic injuries/illnesses. In addition to the General Criteria requirements listed above, the teacher must be under the continuing care of a physician. This type of Sick Leave Bank Withdrawal shall not exceed twenty days in any contract year.

  • Compensation for Unused Sick Leave 1. Employees who enter County service after July 1, 1979, shall not be eligible for compensation for any of their unused sick leave credits.

  • Sick Leave Benefits Sick leave is an indemnity benefit and not an acquired right. A Nurse who is absent from a scheduled shift on approved sick leave shall only be entitled to sick leave pay if the Nurse is not otherwise receiving pay for that day, and providing the Nurse has sufficient sick leave credits.
