Common use of Employment Pool Clause in Contracts

Employment Pool. (A) All certificated employees who are not recommended for retention in accordance with these procedures shall be terminated from employment and placed in an employment pool for possible re employment for a period of up to thirty-six (36) months. Employment pool personnel shall be given the opportunity to fill open positions within the categories or specialties for which they are qualified under Section 17.2. If more than one such employee is qualified for an open position, the criteria set forth in Section 17.2 shall be applied in reverse order to determine who shall be offered such position. It shall be the responsibility for each certificated employee placed in the employment pool to notify the Superintendent or his designee in writing by April 1, if such employee wishes to remain in the employment pool. If such notification is not received, the name of any such certificated employee shall be dropped from the employment pool.
