English Language Proficiency Clause Samples

English Language Proficiency. (ELP) refers to a student’s ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language as determined by the student’s scores on a valid and reliable English language proficiency assessment of each of the four language domains of speaking, listening, reading, and writing.

English Language Proficiency. In addition to other application requirements, I will provide proof of English Language Proficiency as required by the U.S. Department of State, Exchange Visitor Program.

MLHS requires English proficiency in reading, writing, listening, and speech. To be admitted to MLHS, applicants must demonstrate proficiency with a recommended score report on either the SLEP (scaled scores: listening-25; reading-25), or the TOEFL (preferred combined score of 75). If the student is taking the TOEFL test before coming to MLHS, MLHS’s TOEFL code number is 8677. This number should be entered onto the TOEFL answer sheet during the examination so that scores are reported directly to MLHS. In
