Erosion Control Blanket. Erosion control blanket is a manufactured blanket or mat that is designed to hold soil and seed in place on slopes. It consists of biodegradable organic materials such as wood fiber, coconut fiber, or a combination of these materials. It is commercially manufactured and delivered to the site in rolls. Erosion control blankets shall be one hundred (100) percent organic biodegradable (including parent material, stitching, and netting). The minimum thickness shall be 3/8” (9mm). The netting shall be stitched to prevent the separation of the net from the parent material. The netting shall be capable of withstanding moderate foot traffic without tearing or puncturing. Neither the blanket nor netting nor the installation shall pose a safety risk to people walking on/crossing over it or pose a hazard to wildlife such as birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Anchors – Anchors are devices that secure erosion control materials such as fiber rolls, erosion control blankets, and silt fences. For erosion control blankets, anchors shall be completely biodegradable, environmentally safe, and have no potential for soil and/or water contamination. Steel wire pins or staples may be approved by the County’s OSC if the alternative is not available or not functional. Petroleum-based plastics or composites containing petroleum-based plastics will not be approved. Materials deemed to present a hazard from splintering or spearing will not be approved. Wood stakes or stakes manufactured from wood byproducts may be approved. Erosion Control Blanket. (a) Erosion Control Blanket and related Work specified herein will be measured on an area basis and paid for at the Contract Unit Price for “Supply and Install Erosion Control Blanket”, completed in accordance with this Specification, and as accepted by the Contract Administrator. (b) Areas requiring replacement as directed by the Contract Administrator will be re- measured and additionally paid for at the Contract Unit Price for the Work item. The Contractor shall be compensated for replacing ECB only if the damage occurred as a result of conditions beyond their control, such as severe run-off, or from ice or floating debris. The Contractor shall not be compensated for replacing or repairing ECB damaged as a result of faulty materials, installation methods, or the Contractor’s own operations.

  • Erosion Control a. The Purchaser shall construct slash and debris erosion barriers, dips, water bars or ditches in skid trails and landings as directed by the Forest Officer. b. The kinds and frequency of erosion control structures shall be adjusted to soil types, topography and climatic conditions as directed by the Forest Officer. c. The Purchaser is required to recontour any excavated skid trails, and provide for effective erosion control in the trail location as directed by the Forest Officer. d. Erosion control work shall commence as soon as skidding is completed on each skid trail or landing, and must be kept current with unit operations. e. Erosion control work shall be completed and approved by the Forest Officer in unfinished units before operations cease for inactive periods including heavy winter snowfall, spring breakup and restricted dates. f. All erosion control work in each unit shall be completed prior to notification pursuant to Section VII.M.7.

  • Quality Control Program Engineer shall have a quality control program in place that ensures that all deliverable work is of high quality. Engineer shall submit a plan detailing its program to the Inspection Branch of the TxDOT Bridge Division for review and approval prior to beginning work. State may review or audit the programs.

  • Life Insurance Benefits A. During the life of this Agreement, the basic life insurance benefit made available to Faculty members shall be calculated as 3 times base annual earnings, rounded to the next highest $1,000, but not more than $225,000. A separate additional benefit up to the amount of the life insurance will be paid for accidental death and dismemberment, or loss of sight. The amount of Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment/Loss of Sight benefits will be reduced to 65% at age 65, and further reduced (from the original insurance amount) as follows: to 50% at age 70, and 35% at age 75. Basic life insurance and AD&D benefits will be provided with no employee contributions. B. Faculty members will be eligible to purchase the following supplemental coverage: 1. additional amounts of group term life insurance at a level of between one and three (3) times the Faculty member’s annual salary with a maximum of $600,000. The guaranteed issue level at initial enrollment will be determined by the life insurance carrier and any amounts over the guaranteed level will be subject to the underwriting requirements of the life insurance carrier. 2. group term life insurance for spouses and domestic partners at a level of between one (1) and three (3) times annual salary with a maximum of $600,000.   • Insurance Program An eligible employee may waive rights to participate in either single or family coverage. If an employee waives this benefit, such employee may not revoke the waiver until the next open enrollment period and may be accepted only after medical review by the insurance provider.

  • DRUGS & ALCOHOL Any incidents concerning drugs and/or alcohol shall be dealt with in accordance with the policy of the Building Industry Group Drug and Alcohol Safety and Rehabilitation Program as detailed in Appendix D of this Agreement.

  • Insurance Plan 19.01 The Employer agrees to contribute the indicated percentage of the premium cost of the following group plans for full-time employees (and their families where applicable) who have completed their probationary period.

  • Erosion Prevention and Control Purchaser’s Operations shall be conducted reasonably to minimize soil erosion. Equipment shall not be operated when ground conditions are such that excessive damage will result. Purchaser shall adjust the kinds and intensity of erosion control work done to ground and weather condi- tions and the need for controlling runoff. Erosion control work shall be kept current immediately preceding ex- pected seasonal periods of precipitation or runoff.

  • EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL 10.1 We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under this XXXX that is caused by any act or event beyond our reasonable control, including failure of public or private telecommunications networks (Event Outside Our Control). 10.2 If an Event Outside Our Control takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under this XXXX: (a) our obligations under this XXXX will be suspended and the time for performance of our obligations will be extended for the duration of the Event Outside Our Control; and (b) we will use our reasonable endeavours to find a solution by which our obligations under this XXXX may be performed despite the Event Outside Our Control.
