Exceeding the Sick Leave Benefits. A) An employee leaving employment that has overdrawn their sick leave shall have deducted from any monies owing them by the Employer an amount calculated on the basis of the number of days sick leave overdrawn at the rate of salary on separation.

The Employer will provide further details of compassionate care leave in the policy manual. An employee absent from duty due to sickness or other emergency must inform the manager or designate at least one (1) hour prior to the time at which the employee was scheduled to report for duty. Where extenuating medical circumstances exist, notification shall be given as soon as possible thereafter.
