Excess Duty. 6.6.1 Excess duty for employees at APS levels 1-6 is defined as work perform ed at the direction of the CEO outside the flextime bandwidth (Monday-Friday, 7:00am-7:00pm) or on weekends or public holidays. Excess duty must be supported by supervisors and cannot be self-initiated.

Excess Duty. A Cabin Attendant on duty for 14 hours 00 minutes up to 14 hours 59 minutes will be granted a premium of one hundred dollars ($100). If the Cabin Attendant continues his duty period and works for 15 hours 00 minutes up to 16 hours 00 minutes, he will be granted an additional premium of two hundred dollars ($200). The premium provided for when a Cabin Attendant is on duty for 14 hours 00 minutes up to 14 hours 59 minutes does not apply if the scheduled duty period is 15 hours 00 minutes long (including a deadhead after the trip), in accordance with Article B6.05, except if the duty period exceeds 14 hours 00 minutes before the start of the deadhead.

  • On Duty Employees subpoenaed for a DMV Telephonic Hearing scheduled during the employee’s working hours shall utilize a Department telephone at the appointed time.

  • Extra Duty A. All extra duty vacancies listed in Article 29 (except as provided in 7-8-C) shall be filled by MBUs, providing they meet the following criteria.

  • Emergency Duty 41.1 Where an employee is called on duty to meet an emergency at a time when the employee would not ordinarily have been on duty, and no notice of such call was given to the employee prior to ceasing ordinary duty, the employee will be paid for such emergency duty at the rate of double time.

  • Off Duty day - Except where the provisions of 10.3.1 apply, if a public holiday, other than Waitangi Day and ANZAC Day, falls on a rostered employee's off duty day (such off duty day not being a Saturday or a Sunday) the employee shall be granted an additional day's leave at a later date convenient to the Employer.

  • Witness Duty An employee required to serve on jury duty, or as a witness in a case in which the Crown is a party, or as a witness at an inquest, or as a witness in a case arising out of her employment, or as a witness at a hearing of the College of Nurses of Ontario, shall not lose regular pay because of such attendance, provided that the employee:

  • Civic Duty Whenever an employee is served with a subpoena by a court of competent jurisdiction which compels his/her presence as a witness during his/her normal working period, unless he/she is a party to the litigation or an expert witness, such employee shall be granted time off with pay in the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and any amount he/she receives for such appearance. This Article is not applicable to appearances for which the employee receives compensation in excess of his/her regular earnings. A court of competent jurisdiction is defined as a court within the County in which the employee resides or if outside the county of residence, the place of appearance must be within 150 miles of the employee's residence.

  • Reserve Duty A leave of absence will be granted to reservists for training purposes not to exceed fifteen (15) days per calendar year. Employees shall make application on the Leave of Absence Form to the Human Resources Department and shall enclose a copy of their military order. Leaves for training purposes are granted without loss of pay, but employees are encouraged to make arrangements to take these training periods during winter, spring, or summer recess.

  • Night Duty 222. Employees shall be paid eight percent (8%) more than the base rate for each hour worked between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. if the employee works at least one (1) hour of his/her shift between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., except for those employees participating in an authorized flex-time program and who voluntarily work between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

  • Modified Duty When an employee cannot perform the full range of duties of the classification as a result of an illness or injury, such employee may be assigned modified duty if reasonable accommodation can be made. Modified duty may be assigned after medical release by a City-designated physician that indicates the employee's work restrictions.
