Exchange Teacher Leave. Teachers shall be granted the opportunity to participate in an exchange teacher program in the United States or a foreign country upon recommendation of the Superintendent and approval of the Board with the following provisions: a. The Norwalk Board shall continue its exchange teacher under regular salary status. b. All rights and privileges of the Norwalk teacher shall continue in effect during the exchange period. c. Teachers shall receive salary credit for participation in the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program.
