Extended Leave and Other Leaves a. An employee who is unable to work because of personal illness or disability and who has exhausted all sick leave available shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for the duration of such illness or disability, up to the end of the contract year.
b. An employee who is unable to work because of illness, disability or death of a member of the immediate family and has exhausted all available leave shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for the duration of such illness, disability, or death up to the end of the contract year. These leaves may be renewed each year upon written request by the employee and upon approval of that request by the School Board.
