Extension Experiment. AREA's extension research team is conducting a large-scale research study to compare the effectiveness of the three models of extension already in use in Haiti. The three extension models being investigated are: 1) Master farmer, which centers on an expert who teaches farmers in a lecture-style setting, 2) Farmer field school, which primarily relies on the community of farmers to teach each other, and 3) Simple distribution, in which farmers come to a central location to receive the technologies and basic information on their use. In September 2017, AREA's extension research team formally launched the experiment after previously creating the evaluation instruments, establishing relationships with implementing partners, and hiring and training staff. The experiment involves four primary objectives: 1. Work with Haitian farmer associations to evaluate the three commonly used extension models and test the technology innovations 2. Assess the interactions between extension models and farmer associations as predictors of farmers' willingness to test innovations on their own farms 3. Assess the degree to which innovation attributes influence the interactions between the extension model and rate of farmer adoption 4. Determine whether the gender of the farmer affects the efficacy of an extension model Output 1: Complete data collection for outcome of experiment and farmers’ perceptions of technologies introduced During the most recent quarter, AREA continued to administer the exit interviews to a random sample of farmers who are members of a farmers’ association. On Aug. 6, 2018, the team launched the instrument to measure independent testing, referred to as an “exit interview” questionnaire. Using the random sample of respondents selected for the group dynamics interviews, these exit interviews will allow AREA to measure, among other things, the percentage of farmers who chose to try, without direct project assistance or encouragement, any of the seven innovations on their farms. Additionally, AREA continued to make direct observations of group meetings. AREA is using an observation instrument to direct observations of group meetings, after which an AREA surveyor writes a brief case summary of his or her observations. The instrument includes a list of questions to guide the development of a case summary.   • Development Phase contractual phase initiated with the approval of ANP for the Development Plan and which is extended during the Production Phase while investments in xxxxx, equipment, and facilities for the Production of Oil and Gas according to the Best Practices of the Oil Industry are required.

  • Final Working Drawings Tenant shall supply the Engineers with a complete listing of standard and non-standard equipment and specifications, including, without limitation, B.T.U. calculations, electrical requirements and special electrical receptacle requirements for the Premises, to enable the Engineers and the Architect to complete the “Final Working Drawings” (as that term is defined below) in the manner as set forth below. Tenant shall cause the approved Final Space Plan to be converted by the Architect and the Engineers to complete architectural and engineering drawings for the Premises, and Architect shall compile a fully coordinated set of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing working drawings in a form which is complete to allow subcontractors to bid on the work and to obtain all applicable permits (collectively, the “Final Working Drawings”) and shall submit the same to Landlord for Landlord’s approval. Tenant shall supply Landlord with four (4) copies signed by Tenant of such Final Working Drawings. Landlord shall advise Tenant within five (5) business days after Landlord’s receipt of the Final Working Drawings for the Premises if the same is unsatisfactory or incomplete in any respect. If Tenant is so advised, Tenant shall immediately revise the Final Working Drawings in accordance with such review and any disapproval of Landlord in connection therewith. Landlord and Tenant acknowledge that the Final Space Plans may not depict certain structural elements of the Building and/or various elements of the Building systems which may result in material modifications to the Final Working Drawings (“Space Plan Modifications”) Furthermore, the Final Space Plans for the construction of the Tenant Improvements may require modification to account for the requirements of building codes and other legal requirements of applicable governmental entities, including, but not limited to, Title 24 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (collectively the “Building Codes”). The Final Working Drawings shall materially conform to the Final Space Plans, taking into account (i) Space Plan Modifications, (ii) the requirements of the Building Codes, (iii) other modifications resulting from physical constraints of the Premises and (iv) modifications requested by Tenant and consented to by Landlord, which consent shall not be unreasonably withheld. Tenant agrees that, in addition to other factors and considerations Landlord may take into account, it shall not be unreasonable for Landlord to withhold its consent to any matters set forth in the Final Working Drawings and not contained in the Final Space Plans, (i) if such requested modifications would not comply with the Building Codes or any laws, (ii) subject to Section 7 if such requested modifications would cause the anticipated cost of the Tenant Improvements to exceed the Tenant Improvement Allowance (unless Tenant agrees to be responsible for all such costs, and provide evidence satisfactory to Landlord of Tenant’s ability to pay such amounts, including escrow the funds if required by Landlord), (iii) if such requested modifications would not increase the value of the Tenant Improvements, (iv) if such requested modifications would increase the burden on the Building systems, either during construction or after completion of same.

  • Feasibility Study A feasibility study will identify the potential costs, service quality and other benefits which would result from contracting out the work in question. The cost analysis for the feasibility study shall not include the Employer’s indirect overhead costs for existing salaries or wages and benefits for administrative staff or for rent, equipment, utilities, and materials, except to the extent that such costs are attributable solely to performing the services to be contracted out. Upon completion of the feasibility study, the Employer agrees to furnish the Union with a copy if the feasibility study, the bid from the Apparent Successful Bidder and all pertinent information upon which the Employer based its decision to contract out the work including, but not limited to, the total cost savings the Employer anticipates. The Employer shall not go forward with contracting out the work in question if more than sixty percent (60%) of any projected savings resulting from the contracting out are attributable to lower employee wage and benefit costs.

  • Phase II A small portion of the work for the Phase II modifications to the Plattsburgh Substation will be performed by Transmission Owner, and the remainder will be performed by Clinton and Xxxxxxxxx. A detailed definition of the specific scope for Transmission Owner and Clinton and Xxxxxxxxx including interface points shall be defined during the design phase and, as such documents become available, copies will be delivered to the NYISO, Transmission Owner, Noble Altona Windpark, LLC and Marble River, LLC. The full scope includes the installation of wave traps, CCVT’s and modifications and/or additions to relaying on the MWP-1 and MWP- 2 lines. These lines will be reconfigured at the completion of Phase II to connect to Xxxxx and Xxxxxxx Substations on MWP-1 and the Xxxx Substation on MWP-2. Clinton and Xxxxxxxxx will design the upgrades and purchase the materials based on the outline specification that was prepared and issued by Transmission Owner. The work to be performed by Clinton and Xxxxxxxxx will include both the materials for the exterior and interior installations and items for Transmission Owner installation inside the control building in existing relay panels and communication racks. In addition, Clinton and Xxxxxxxxx will be responsible for the exterior and interior construction work and will provide construction management services in coordination with Transmission Owner. The civil design for the foundations and the electrical design for the cable runs to the control room will be designed by, as approved by Transmission Owner, and installed under the supervision and control of Clinton and Xxxxxxxxx. The equipment will be selected and procured in accordance with the specifications developed during the detailed engineering phase, copies of which shall be furnished to the NYISO, Transmission Owner, Noble Altona Windpark, LLC and Marble River, LLC. The construction of the foundations, structures, wave traps, CCTV and cable runs into the control building to the termination cabinets will be completed by Clinton and Xxxxxxxxx. The work at the Plattsburgh Substation will be installed under Transmission Owner’s CPP-1. Transmission Owner will provide Protection and Controls Engineering, install and terminate wiring from the termination cabinets to the control panels and relays, install relays and equipment in the existing panels, and will commission such work inside the 230kV control building. Transmission Owner will develop the communications protocols and data flow over the circuits.

  • Annual Work Plans and Budgets The Recipient shall furnish to the Association as soon as available, but in any case not later than September 1 of each year, the annual work plan and budget for the Project for each subsequent year of Project implementation, of such scope and detail as the Association shall have reasonably requested, except for the annual work plan and budget for the Project for the first year of Project implementation, which shall be furnished no later than one (1) month after the Effective Date.

  • Development Diligence Pfizer will use its Commercially Reasonable Efforts to Develop and seek Regulatory Approval for [ * ] Product [ * ] in the Field [ * ]. Pfizer will [ * ] with respect to the Development or Regulatory Approval of Products under this Agreement.

  • Development Costs Licensee shall be responsible for all of its costs and expenses in connection with the Development of, and obtaining and maintaining Regulatory Approvals for, the Licensed Products in the Field in the Territory.

  • Research Project The findings of any research project, which would change the provisions of this Agreement will not be implemented until such changes are negotiated and agreed to by the parties.

  • Phase I In Phase I, the project will be connected as a tap to the Transmission Owner’s 230kV transmission line MWP-2 via one 230kV circuit breaker in series with one of two ring bus breakers for stuck breaker protection (one in each direction) and a tie-line breaker, as shown on the one-line diagram labeled CL-E-IA-01 attached to this Appendix A as Figure 1. The changes to the existing MWP-2 line protection for this arrangement are described in Phase I System Upgrades in Section II of this Appendix A.

  • Development Fee A fee for the packaging of a Property or Mortgage, including the negotiation and approval of plans, and any assistance in obtaining zoning and necessary variances and financing for a specific Property, either initially or at a later date.
