Extension of Temporary Appointments. The extension of a short-term temporary appointment or assignment beyond the time limits outlined in Article 11.01 will occur only by mutual agreement between the Company and the Union. Should mutual agreement not be reached and the Company still requires the vacancy to be filled, the Company will establish a new temporary vacancy and fill it in accordance with Article 10 or Article 11, whichever is appropriate.

  • Temporary Appointments A) The Employer may make a temporary appointment, without posting, to a vacant position provided such position is one in which the former incumbent has terminated employment with the Employer.
