Regular part time Employees shall not be assigned casual hours if this would result in the Employee not having two (2) consecutive days of rest in each week. Employee(s) must have the capability to do "extra" hours with a minimum orientation to the job involved.

Extra Casual Hours for Regular. Part-time Employees Regular part-time Employees, in order of seniority, will be offered available casual hours (prior to hiring Casual Employees),in the same classification, where practicable provided such hours do not result in overtime payments, and provided that the Employee(s) are qualified to perform the work. Regular part-time Employees shall have at least two (2) twenty-four (24) hour periods off in each week. It is agreed, however, that regular part-time employees may opt, in writing, for a thirty (30) day period to be available to work a maximum of six days in order to maximize their weekly hours without attracting overtime. Written notice shall be forwarded to the Union. Employee(s) must have the capability to do “extra” hours with a minimum orientation to the job involved.
