Family and Medical Leave Policy. 9.1 Under FMLA, eligible employees are entitled to up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave per year to care for a newborn or newly-adopted child, to care for the employee's child, parent, or spouse with a serious health condition, or to care for the employee's own serious health condition. 9.2 To be eligible and entitled to FMLA leave, an employee must have worked for the Xxxxxxxx School District for one (1) school year or 1,250 hours.
