Common use of Family Medical Leave Clause in Contracts

Family Medical Leave. Family Medical leave may be taken for up to (8) eight weeks of unpaid leave per year to provide care and support to certain family members for whom a qualified health practitioner has issued a certificate stating that this family member has a serious illness with a significant risk of death occurring within a period of 26 weeks.

Family Medical Leave. An employee will be entitled to an unpaid Family Medical Leave in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act.
