Service to Students. A bargaining unit member shall give the Superintendent written notice before providing educational services, including tutoring, to a school-age student residing in Bexley City School District. The notice shall include the student’s name, address, general description of the services, and anticipated duration.
Service to Students. It is expected that a candidate would demonstrate an involvement with students outside of the classroom setting. Examples may include, but are not limited to: (1) Serving as an advisor to student activities and organizations; (2) Engaging in the Admissions process, including contacting prospective students, participating in interviews, preparing admissions material (brochures, flyers, public relations activities related to Admissions). (3) Advising students on overall academic planning, including registration, course selection, course sequencing, course withdrawal, and commencement. (4) Advising students in job placement, including providing professional contacts, making students aware of relevant professional opportunities, assisting in preparation of job-seeking materials, and advising in overall long-range employment planning. (5) Participating in the orientation process, including participation in orientation programs, providing departmental/institution overview, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for new students. (6) Preparing students for their roles as citizens in a changing society. (7) Overseeing student cultural, athletic, entertainment or community service projects. (8) Participating actively in or demonstrates support for various student sponsored functions.
Service to Students. College and Community may include, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Fosters student well-being (e.g., refers students to appropriate office(s) and/or staff member(s), generates ideas to improve services, and develops courses or activities in response to student needs). 2) Assists in student advising, co-curricular activities, letters of recommendation, student scholarships and internships. 3) Supports College’s overall mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives.
Service to Students. College and Community may include, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Supports College’s overall mission, philosophy, goals and objectives. 2) Actively participates in department, program, division and College activities (e.g., committee work, elected offices, mentorship and involvement in Faculty Association). 3) Participates in problem-solving processes by generating and sharing ideas. 4) Fosters student well-being (e.g., refers students to appropriate office(s) and/or staff member(s) when needed, generates ideas to improve services and develops specialized activities in response to student needs). 5) Assists in student advising, co-curricular activities, letters of recommendation, student scholarships and internships. 6) Activities directly related to position at Monroe Community College: Shares professional expertise with the community for community understanding and goodwill (e.g., community presentations or high school/college visitations). 7) Indirectly related activities that enhance the well-being of the community: Actively participates in community activities for the good and well-being of the community (e.g., holding office in community organizations or committee membership in community organizations).

Service to Students. A+ Tutoring, Inc. will serve students who have been determined by the DISTRICT to be eligible for and selected for Title I service in reading and/or math. Student will receive 18 - 24 one (1) hour sessions of one-on-one tutoring instructional service, with the exception of the pre and post assessment which may exceed the one (1) hour limit as student needs require. An accommodation may also be made for students in Kindergarten for whom sessions may be scheduled in thirty minute blocks twice a week, if needed. Students may be provided additional services if student needs extra tutoring service and DISTRICT/School allocation permits. Services provided must be based on the needs of each participating student.
