Financial Assistance for Completion of a Doctoral Degree. (a) The Employer will provide the following forgivable loan for the completion of a first doctoral degree at an accredited university. The doctoral degree must be related to the Member’s area of teaching. The Employer has the right to approve the program and the university before the financial assistance commences. Such approval will not be unreasonably denied. The tuition invoice, along with a description of the program/course, will be submitted by the Member to the appropriate Xxxx. Once approved by the Xxxxxxx, Nipissing University will reimburse the Member directly upon submission of proof of payment up to the following maximum limits (Canadian dollars): i) For Members on a limited term contract of less than three (3) years – no support; ii) For Members on a limited term appointment of three (3) years – 50% of tuition fees paid by the University up to a maximum of $3,000 per Member; iii) For tenured Members and Members who hold a tenure-track appointment – 50% of tuition fees paid by the University, up to a maximum of $3,000 per year, based on progress, for a total maximum of $6,000 per Member; iv) The University will support as many doctoral candidates as possible, up to a maximum of $30,000 per year under the provisions of (ii) and (iii) above. In the event that more than ten doctoral candidates are approved, the University will divide the $30,000 equally among those approved. Requests for support must be made to the Deans by March 1 each year, for support in the upcoming fiscal year, beginning May 1. v) Any financial support received from May 1, 2006, onward will be included in the total maximum allowable support stipulated in Articles 29.8(a)(ii) and 29.8(a)(iii). vi) Loans are forgivable at the rate of $3,000 for each year worked at the University after completion of the doctorate. Members resigning from the University prior to completion of their doctorate must repay the loans in full on resignation. vii) Members who have not been reappointed by decision of the Employer will not be required to repay the outstanding loans. (b) The Doctoral candidate's return air fare at the best rate obtainable in economy class will be paid by the Employer when he/she is required to present the doctoral dissertation to the degree-granting institution. The form of assistance will be restricted to one such application. (c) Financial assistance up to the sum of $300 may be granted for the production of the final draft of the doctoral dissertation.

(i) For those members on a limited term contract of less than three (3) years (ii) For those members on a limited term appointment of three (3) or more years – 50% of tuition fees paid by the University up to a maximum of (iii) For tenured members and members who hold a probationary appointment – 50% of tuition fees paid by the University, up to a maximum of $3,000 per year, based on progress, for a total maximum of (iv) The University will support as many doctoral candidates as possible, up to a maximum of $30,000 per year under the provisions of (ii) and (iii) above. In the event that more than ten doctoral candidates are approved, the University will divide the $30,000 equally among those approved.   • Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions 10.14.1 Contractor agrees to comply fully with and be bound by all of the provisions of Chapter 12T, “City Contractor/Subcontractor Consideration of Criminal History in Hiring and Employment Decisions,” of the San Francisco Administrative Code (“Chapter 12T”), including the remedies provided, and implementing regulations, as may be amended from time to time. The provisions of Chapter 12T are incorporated by reference and made a part of this Agreement as though fully set forth herein. The text of the Chapter 12T is available on the web at xxxx://xxxxx.xxx/olse/fco. Contractor is required to comply with all of the applicable provisions of 12T, irrespective of the listing of obligations in this Section. Capitalized terms used in this Section and not defined in this Agreement shall have the meanings assigned to such terms in Chapter 12T. 10.14.2 The requirements of Chapter 12T shall only apply to a Contractor’s or Subcontractor’s operations to the extent those operations are in furtherance of the performance of this Agreement, shall apply only to applicants and employees who would be or are performing work in furtherance of this Agreement, and shall apply when the physical location of the employment or prospective employment of an individual is wholly or substantially within the City of San Francisco. Chapter 12T shall not apply when the application in a particular context would conflict with federal or state law or with a requirement of a government agency implementing federal or state law.

  • Conditions to Financial Assistance and its Disbursement The Grantor's obligations hereunder, including its obligation to make financial assistance available to the Recipient pursuant to the terms of this Agreement, are contingent upon compliance by the Recipient with the following conditions: A. Recipient's acquisition and commitment of the Local Subdivision Contribution necessary for the completion of the Project, its compliance with all other provisions of this Agreement, and its compliance with the provisions of Chapter 164 of the Revised Code and Chapter 164-1 of the Administrative Code. The Recipient shall set forth in Appendix D of this Agreement a description of the manner or mechanisms of providing its local share of Project funds pursuant to division (D) of Section 164.05 of the Revised Code and Rule 164-1-21 (B)(6) of the Administrative Code. B. Recipient shall execute any and all other documents and certificates as deemed necessary by the Director, subject to the opinion of counsel to the Director, as well as any required by changes in State or Federal Law, on the date hereof or at any time hereafter in connection with the financial assistance and disbursement of moneys pursuant to this Agreement, including any amendments to this Agreement.

  • Disbursement of Financial Assistance Unless a different disbursement method is specified in that line of Exhibit C, “Financial Assistance Award,” OHA will disburse the Part A awards for MHS 28 Services provided under a particular line of the Financial Assistance Award containing an “A” in column “Part ABC” to County in substantially equal monthly allotments during the period specified in that line of the Financial Assistance Award, subject to the following: i. OHA may, after 30 days (unless parties agree otherwise) written notice to County, reduce the monthly allotments based on under- used allotments identified through MOTS and other reports in accordance with the “Reporting Requirements” and “Special Reporting Requirements” sections above or applicable special conditions; ii. OHA may, upon written request of County, adjust monthly allotments; iii. Upon amendment to the Financial Assistance Award, OHA shall adjust monthly allotments as necessary, to reflect changes in the funds awarded for MHS 28 Services provided under that line of the Financial Assistance Award; iv. OHA is not obligated to provide financial assistance for any MHS 28 Services that are not properly reported in accordance with the “Reporting Requirements” and “Special Reporting Requirements” sections above or as required in an applicable Specialized Service Requirement by the date 60 calendar days after the earlier of expiration or termination of this Agreement; termination of OHA’s obligation to provide financial assistance for MHS 28 Services; or termination of County’s obligation to include the Program Area in which MHS 28 Services fall within its CMHP; and v. OHA will reduce the financial assistance awarded for MHS 28 Services delivered under a particular line of Exhibit C, “Financial Assistance Award,” containing an “A” in column “Part ABC,” by the amount received by a Provider of MHS 28 Services as payment of a portion of the cost of the Services from an Individual receiving such Services with funds awarded in that line of the Financial Assistance Award.

  • Financial Assistance Subject to the terms and conditions contained herein, the Director hereby grants to the Recipient financial assistance, as established in this section, for the sole and express purpose of paying or reimbursing the eligible costs certified to the Director under this Agreement for the completion of the Project.

Grantee will document all such instances of technical assistance by DFPS in writing, including any implementation work.
