A Probationary Appointment is an Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor leading to consideration for the simultaneous granting of Tenure and Promotion to the rank of Associate Professor, or an Appointment at the rank of Associate Professor leading to consideration for the granting of Tenure.
A Probationary Appointment is an Appointment leading to consideration for a Continuing Appointment. Subject to Clauses 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2, and 4.2.1 below, the maximum total length of the probationary period shall be six (6) years.
