Finishing Trades Institute. Effective May 5, 2019, the Employer shall deduct ten cents ($0.10) for each hour worked from each employee’s wages for the Finishing Trades Institute and shall remit a cheque for same together with a list of employees from whose wages the deductions were made to the Administrator of the Union’s Welfare Trust Fund on or before the twentieth (20th) day of the month following for which the deductions were made.

Finishing Trades Institute. This fund shall be under the control of a Board of Trustees, an equal amount shall be representatives of the UNION and an equal amount shall be representatives of the ASSOCIATION. These Trustees shall be appointed or elected as the respective parties may decide. All monies received are to be kept in a separate account or accounts and are not to be commingled with any other funds. Payments into this Fund are to be made on all hours worked in accordance with the provisions of Article IX, Section 5. The Painters & Allied Trades District Council No. 35 Finishing Trades Institute will implement educational and safety criteria, develop, manage and carry out all program functions to ensure Employee compliance and will provide the training and administration necessary to properly train all Employees in systems, functions and activities relevant to their craft, including but not limited to safety, hazardous materials, application, removal, cleaning and preparatory procedures, state of the art techniques and current OSHA regulations relevant to their field.
Finishing Trades Institute. Effective May 1, 2015 and for the duration of this Agreement, the Employer shall remit to District Council #4 Trust Funds the amount specified in Article VI per hour worked by an Employee covered by this Agreement for the District Council #4 Joint Apprenticeship, Journeyperson, Upgrading and Training Fund.

Prior to implementing any changes to these policies, the employer agrees to consult with the Association.
