Probationary This category describes persons taken on strength on a probationary basis with the prospect, if their services are found satisfactory, of a change of category to Regular full-time or Regular part-time (Section 1.2, following).
Split Shifts No shift shall be split for a period longer than the regularly scheduled meal and rest periods as provided for in Article 14.08.
Denial/Restoral OSS Charge In the event <<customer_name>> provides a list of customers to be denied and restored, rather than an LSR, each location on the list will require a separate PON and, therefore will be billed as one LSR per location. <<customer_name>> will incur an OSS charge for an accepted LSR that is later canceled by <<customer_name>>. Note: Supplements or clarifications to a previously billed LSR will not incur another OSS charge. <<customer_name>> will incur the mechanized rate for all LSRs, both mechanized and manual, if the percentage of mechanized LSRs to total LSRs meets or exceeds the threshold percentages shown below: Year Ratio: Mechanized/Total LSRs 2000 80% 2001 90% The threshold plan will be discontinued in 2002. BellSouth will track the total LSR volume for each CLEC for each quarter. At the end of that time period, a Percent Electronic LSR calculation will be made for that quarter based on the LSR data tracked in the LCSC. If this percentage exceeds the threshold volume, all of that CLEC’s future manual LSRs for the following quarter will be billed at the mechanized LSR rate. To allow time for obtaining and analyzing the data and updating the billing system, this billing change will take place on the first day of the second month following the end of the quarter (e.g. May 1 for 1Q, Aug 1 for 2Q, etc.). There will be no adjustments to the amount billed for previously billed LSRs. Classification of Goods The classification of goods in trade between the Parties shall be that set out in each Party's respective tariff nomenclature in conformity with the 2012 Harmonised System based on the International Convention on the Harmonised Commodity Description and Coding System of 1983 (HS) and subsequent amendments thereto.
Accrual of Sick Leave a. A full-time employee shall accrue four (4) hours of sick leave for each biweekly pay period, or the number of hours that are directly proportionate to the number of days worked during less than a full-pay period, without limitation as to the total number of hours that may be accrued. b. A part-time employee shall accrue sick leave at a rate directly proportionate to the percent of time employed. c. An employee appointed under Other Personal Services (OPS) shall not accrue sick leave.
Probationary Teachers Probationary teachers' order of reduction shall be according to program needs.
Split Shift Except as provided otherwise in paragraph B., below, any employee required to work a split shift shall be paid at a rate of five percent over and above his/her regular biweekly or hourly rate of pay for the entire shift so worked. For purposes of this paragraph “split shift” is defined as any daily tour of duty divided into two work periods of time and taking more than nine and one-half consecutive hours to complete. Individual employees may waive this premium payment.
Weekend Worker A weekend schedule may be developed in order to meet the Home’s need for weekend staff, and individual employees’ preference for a weekend work schedule. A weekend schedule is defined as a schedule in which a full-time weekend worker works a weekly average of thirty (30) hours and is paid for 37.5 hours at their regular straight time hourly rate. The schedule must include two 11.25-hour tours, which fall within a weekend period as determined by the Home and the Union. An employee working a weekend schedule will work every weekend except as provided for in the provisions below. The Employer and the Union may agree to implement weekend worker position(s) if sixty-six and two thirds’ percent (66⅔%) of the full-time and part-time employees who work in the facility/unit are in agreement. The introduction of that schedule and the manner in which the position(s) are filled, shall be determined by the local parties. This schedule may be discontinued by either party with notice as determined by the local parties. The opportunity for an individual employee to discontinue this schedule shall be resolved by the local parties. Notwithstanding the voting mechanism above, a three (3) month trial period (or longer period, where agreed by the Home and the Union) for a weekend worker arrangement may be implemented without a vote in circumstances where the following additional conditions apply: ▪ An RN (or RNs) volunteers or applies for a weekend worker position and the Home and the Union agrees to accept the request. ▪ The work schedule will be modified to accommodate such a request provided there is no reduction in the regularly scheduled hours of the other RNs in the bargaining unit. ▪ Prior to the conclusion of the trial period, representatives of the Home and of the Union will evaluate and discuss the outcomes. Each Home must have the majority agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to agree on a trial period of up to six months. Once the trial period is complete, each Home must have a minimum of 66⅔% agreement of the full-time and part-time employees who vote on the issue to continue with the new schedule on a permanent basis. (a) Weekend and shift premiums shall not be paid.
Probationary Employment All employees will initially be engaged on a three month probationary period on a Grade as nominated by the employer with monthly reviews during which time the employee's suitability for continued employment will be assessed. During this period the employer undertakes to provide monthly feedback to the employee in terms of the employee's progress. At the end of this three month period or before at the discretion of the employer should performance not be satisfactory the employee's services will be terminated by giving one (1) days notice. Should the employee choose to resign one (1) weeks notice must be provided to the employer. This period can be extended with the mutual agreement of both the employer and employee prior to completion of the probationary period. Upon satisfactory completion of the probationary period, the employee's position will be confirmed in writing
Probationary Period A newly hired employee or a former employee who is rehired, except as otherwise provided herein, shall be on a probationary period for the first ninety (90) working days of his/her employment or re-employment. An employee who has been voluntarily or involuntarily transferred to another position covered by this Agreement shall be a probationary employee for the first ninety (90) working days of his/her employment in that position. An employee that has been transferred from a District position that is not covered by this Agreement shall be a probationary employee for the first ninety (90) working days of his/her employment in a position covered by this contract. The probationary employee shall accrue no seniority during the probationary period. The District shall have the right to discharge a 90 day probationary employee during the probationary period, and such employee shall not have recourse to the grievance procedure. If an employee is promoted, or is transferred to a new position within the District, that employee shall serve a period of probation of ninety (90) working days in that new position. If the employee does not successfully complete that period of probation, the employee will return to the identical job classification, at the same salary level, with the same level of seniority and the same job skills classification, which the employee had before the promotion or transfer. The employee will not necessarily be returned to the same job which the employee had before the promotion or transfer, however. A probationary employee, who voluntarily requests to be returned to the employee’s previous position will be permitted to do so only at the discretion of the Aberdeen School District. Upon the completion of the probationary period, the employee shall be added to the seniority list as of the last date of hire. The successful completion of the probationary period should not be construed as creating a contract or as guaranteeing employment for any specific duration or as establishing a just cause termination standard.
