Formal Written Grievance – Final Decision. 1. If the formal written grievance is not resolved in Step Four, or if no written answer has been received from the Police Chief within seven (7) working days from the presentation of the written grievance, the grievant may within seven (7) calendar days present the grievance in writing to the Human Resources Director who will submit the written grievance to the City Manager (Administrative Officer). Failure of the grievant to take this action will constitute a termination of the grievance.
