Full-time Non-Tenured. Each full-time non-tenured teacher shall be evaluated at least three (3) times annually, two (2) of which must be formal, during each probationary year at reasonable intervals, one of which shall occur during the first three (3) months of school. The remaining two (2) evaluations will be completed thereafter, but in no event later than March1st. In the event a non-tenured teacher is hired after November 1st but before March 1st of the school year, the number of official evaluations may be reduced to two (2) by the building principal. Non-tenured teachers hired after March 1st shall be evaluated at least one (1) time prior to the end of the school year. The foregoing deadlines shall not apply in cases of illness or other instances where the teacher’s absence makes compliance impractical.
