GAS FITTER TECHNICIAN. It is the intention of this classification to allow Xxxxxx to maintain adequate staffing to supply our growth. Xxxxxx does not intend to use this classification to reduce the number of Refrigeration Mechanics but to maintain a holding area for Apprentices as we can add them in. As apprenticeships become available, priority will be given to employees in this category. The ratio for gas technicians to Journeymen will be limited to 1:9. A Gas Fitter Technician’s duty will be limited to preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment as well as repairs to the components that the individual’s license allows them to perform. These technicians may not service cooling equipment other than to perform a routine Preventive Maintenance and repairs equivalent to a Senior Maintenance Mechanic. They may be used for secondary labour on small jobs and large repairs. In the event of changes to the Apprenticeship Act for Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanics, technicians working within this category of Gas Fitter Technician will be provided with the opportunity for apprenticeship in said trade. The Gas Fitter Technician category will be reduced in proportion to any increase in allowance to the Journeyperson to Apprentice ratio. Xxxxxx will follow government legislated Journeyperson to Apprentice ratio’s for all trades. The duties of a Senior Maintenance Mechanic is limited to performing preventive maintenance items such as changing or cleaning filters, belts, coil cleaning, routine testing and inspecting of mechanical equipment and systems. Repairs will be limited to small parts replacements such as Fractional HP motors, bearings, shafts, cabinet parts or other minor items. The Senior Maintenance Mechanic will not put gauges on a refrigerant system or work on a gas train beyond the gas pipe, if so qualified. This person, however, can be used as a helper with a (SIC) Serviceperson in charge of any job. A Maintenance Mechanic is limited to changing filters, belts, checking exhaust fans and performing small bearing changes. They can also be used as a helper for a (SIC) Serviceperson in Charge. There will be a maximum ratio of One (1) of either Senior Maintenance Mechanic or Maintenance Mechanic to every Three (3) (SIC) Serviceperson in Charge Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Journeyperson.   • Personnel Equipment and Material Engineer shall furnish and maintain, at its own expense, quarters for the performance of all Engineering Services, and adequate and sufficient personnel and equipment to perform the Engineering Services as required. All employees of Engineer shall have such knowledge and experience as will enable them to perform the duties assigned to them. Any employee of Engineer who, in the reasonable opinion of County, is incompetent or whose conduct becomes detrimental to the Engineering Services shall immediately be removed from association with the Project when so instructed by County. Engineer certifies that it presently has adequate qualified personnel in its employment for performance of the Engineering Services required under this Contract, or will obtain such personnel from sources other than County. Engineer may not change the Project Manager without prior written consent of County.

  • Solicitations for Subcontractors, Including Procurements of Materials and Equipment In all solicitations either by competitive bidding or negotiation made by the contractor for work to be performed under a subcontract, including procurements of materials or leases of equipment, each potential subcontractor or supplier shall be notified by the contractor of the contractor's obligations under this contract and the Regulations relative to nondiscrimination on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age, and disability/handicap.

  • Television Equipment Recycling Program If this Contract is for the purchase or lease of covered television equipment, then Contractor certifies that it is compliance with Subchapter Z, Chapter 361 of the Texas Health and Safety Code related to the Television Equipment Recycling Program.

  • Technology Upgrades Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, Verizon shall have the right to deploy, upgrade, migrate and maintain its network at its discretion. The Parties acknowledge that Verizon, at its election, may deploy fiber throughout its network and that such fiber deployment may inhibit or facilitate PNG’s ability to provide service using certain technologies.
