Common use of General Leave Days Clause in Contracts

General Leave Days. a. When regular teachers are absent from their duties for reasons of personal health, bereavement, personal business, religious observance, or family illness, they will be paid full salary for such absences for that period that does not exceed the unused portion of their current and accumulated general leave days. For the purposes of this policy, teachers who are pregnant will be treated the same as teachers who are ill or injured. General leave days used for personal business to extend vacations or holidays may be subject to disciplinary action.
