  • Leaves of Absence With Pay Section 14.

  • Leave of Absence With Pay 1. A leave with pay will be granted when an employee serves on a jury or is subpoenaed as a witness in court. The employee shall claim any jury, witness or other fee to which he/she may be entitled by reason of such appearance and forthwith pay the same over to the county clerk.

  • Approved Leave of Absence With Pay During Vacation When an employee is qualified for bereavement leave, sick leave or any other approved leave with pay during her vacation period, there shall be no deduction from the vacation credits for such leave. In the case of sick leave, this section shall only apply when the period of illness or injury is in excess of two (2) days and a note from a physician may be required. The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.

  • Entitlement to Vacation Leave With Pay An employee is entitled to vacation leave with pay to the extent of his earned credits but an employee who has completed six (6) months of continuous employment may receive an advance of credits equivalent to the anticipated credits for the vacation year.

  • Absence Without Leave Any unauthorized absence of an employee from duty shall be deemed to be an absence without pay and may be made grounds for disciplinary action by the Department Head. In the absence of such disciplinary action, any employee who absents himself for three (3) or more days without authorized leave shall be deemed to have resigned. Such absence may be excused, however, by the Department Head by a subsequent grant of leave with or without pay where extenuating circumstances are found to have existed.

  • Absence Without Pay The deduction for each day of absence shall be determined by dividing 12 the base salary plus designated supplements by the total number of hours in the teacher’s contract 13 year to determine the base rate of pay, then multiplying that rate by the number of hours absent. 14 Designated supplements are defined as those supplements that are attached to all positions of a 15 specific title such as school counselors, school psychologists, etc.

  • Other Leave with Pay The Employer may grant leave with pay for purposes other than those specified in this Agreement, including military or civil defence training, and emergencies affecting the community or place of work.

  • Compliance with Equal Benefits Ordinance With respect to the provision of employee benefits, Contractor shall comply with the County Ordinance which prohibits contractors from discriminating in the provision of employee benefits between an employee with a domestic partner and an employee with a spouse.

  • SICK LEAVE WITH PAY LIMITATION 175. An employee who is absent because of disability leave and who is receiving disability indemnity payments may request that the amount of disability indemnity payment be supplemented with salary to be charged against the employee's sick leave with pay credits so as to equal the amount the employee would have earned for a regular work schedule. If the employee wishes to exercise this option, the employee must submit a signed statement to the employee's department no later than thirty (30) days following the employee's release from disability leave.

  • VACATION LEAVE WITH PAY 14.01 The vacation year shall be from April 1st of one calendar year to March 31st of the following calendar year inclusive.
