General Leaves. An employee shall have the right to apply for a paid or unpaid leave of absence at any time upon any terms acceptable to the District and an employee. 13.9.1 Any employee in the bargaining unit on general leave shall continue to receive their current medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance benefits for the first three (3) months. After this period, they shall have the option of continuing medical and/or other insurance coverage under the District’s plan at their own expense.
