General Objectives. 1. The Parties shall establish close cooperation aimed inter alia at:
(a) strengthening the institutional capacity to underpin democracy, the rule of law, and respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms;
(b) promoting social development, which should go hand in hand with economic development and the protection of the environment. The Parties will give particular priority to respect for basic social rights;
(c) stimulating productive synergies, creating new opportunities for trade and investment and promoting competitiveness and innovation;
(d) increasing the level of and deepening cooperation actions while taking into account the association relation between the Parties.
2. The Parties re-affirm the importance of economic, financial and technical cooperation, as means to contribute to implementing the objectives and principles derived from the present Agreement.
General Objectives. 1. The general objectives of this Agreement are to enhance and develop, through dialogue and partnership, the various aspects of cooperation between the contracting Parties in order to achieve a closer and upgraded relationship. This cooperation will focus in particular on: - Further development and diversification of trade and investment in their mutual interest, taking into account their respective economic situations, - Development in their mutual interest of existing and new forms of economic cooperation directed at promoting and facilitating exchanges and connections between their business communities, taking into account the implementation of Sri Lankan economic reforms and opportunities for the creation of a suitable environment for investment, - Facilitation of better mutual understanding and strengthening of ties in respect of technical, Economic and cultural matters, - Building up of Sri Lanka's economic capability to interact more effectively with the Community, - Acceleration of the pace of Sri Lanka's development, supporting Sri Lanka's efforts in building up its economy and in particular to improve the living conditions of the poorer sections of the population, - Support of environmental protection and sustainable management of natural resources.
2. The Contracting Parties acknowledge the value in the light of the objectives of this Agreement, of consulting each other on international issues of mutual interest.
General Objectives. 1. The Parties agree to establish a framework for collaborative activities as a means to expand and enhance the benefits of this Agreement for building a strategic economic partnership.
2. The Parties will establish close cooperation aimed, inter alia, at:
(a) strengthening and building on existing cooperative relationships between the Parties, including a focus on promoting economic and social development, fostering innovation and encouraging research and development;
(b) creating new opportunities for trade and investment, promoting competitiveness and innovation;
(c) supporting the important role of the private sector in promoting and building strategic alliances to encourage mutual economic growth and development;
(d) encouraging the presence of the Parties and their goods and services in their respective markets of Asia Pacific and Latin America;
(e) reinforce and expand cooperation, collaboration and mutual exchange in the cultural and educational areas; and
(f) increasing the level of and deepening cooperation activities between the Parties in areas of mutual interest.
General Objectives. The objectives of the Work under this Agreement include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Comply with the requirements of the Predesign Program;
2. Provide designs that comply with applicable laws, codes, rules, regulations and quality requirements;
3. Comply with this Agreement including the General Conditions and Design Manual;
4. Meet the established Construction Budget in Attachment “A”;
5. Maintain the Project Schedule in Attachment “A”; and
6. To work with DFCM and the Contractor to accomplish all these objectives.
General Objectives. (a) Legality: invest only in investments legally permissible to all Participants individually.

(a) promoting economic and social development;
(b) stimulating productive synergies, creating new opportunities for trade and investment and promoting competitiveness and innovation; and
(c) increasing and deepening the collaboration activities between the Parties in areas of mutual interest.
2. The Parties reaffirm the importance of all forms of co-operation as a means to contribute to implementing the objectives of this Agreement.
General Objectives. The general objectives of the Tripartite Free Trade Area shall be to:
a) promote economic and social development of the Region;
b) create a large single market with free movement of goods and services to promote intra-regional trade;
c) enhance the regional and continental integration processes; and
d) build a strong Tripartite Free Trade Area for the benefit of the people of the Region.
General Objectives. 2.1. The Agreement seeks a simplified and united consensus for NSW winter sport community competitions conducted and/or affiliated with the Participants to conclude no later than 11 October 2020 (including completion of finals); and the conduct of community cricket affiliated competitions to conclude no later than 5 April 2021 (including completion of finals) in line with previous seasons;
2.2. The Agreement acknowledges that the Participants will continue to work together to manage exceptions to ground access and the agreed season changeovers; particularly with regard to the conduct of higher-level, premier and state representative sport competitions;
2.3. The Agreement acknowledges that in instances where there is no cross over of use between the Winter sports and Cricket at a particular sporting facility, those facilities are not governed by the dates and obligations agreed in this document; and
2.4. The Agreement respects the sovereignty of NSW Local Council’s and their respective local sport associations and does not seek to retrospectively replace mutual arrangements that may have already been agreed to for the forthcoming seasons and prior to the collaborative agreement between the Participants.
General Objectives. The Parties adopt the following General Objectives for the Great Lakes System. These waters should be:
(a) Free from substances that directly or indirectly enter the waters as a result of human activity and that will settle to form putrescent or otherwise objectionable sludge deposits, or that will adversely affect aquatic life or waterfowl;
(b) Free from floating materials such as debris, oil, scum, and other immiscible substances resulting from human activities in amounts that are unsightly or deleterious;
(c) Free from materials and heat directly or indirectly entering the water as a result of human activity that alone, or in combination with other materials, will produce colour, odour, taste, or other conditions in such a degree as to interfere with beneficial uses;
(d) Free from materials and heat directly or indirectly entering the water as a result of human activity that alone, or in combination with other materials, will produce conditions that are toxic or harmful to human, animal, or aquatic life; and
(e) Free from nutrients directly or indirectly entering the waters as a result of human activity in amounts that create growths of aquatic life that interfere with beneficial uses.
