GENERAL PURPOSE OF AGREEMENT. The general purpose of this agreement is to promote the mutual interest of the employer and the union to provide for the operation of the store of the employer under methods which would further to the fullest extent possible the safety and welfare of the employees, economy of operation, elimination of waste, cleanliness of the store and protection of the property. It is recognized by the agreement to be the duty.of the employer and the employees to cooperate fully, individually and collectively for the advancement of such conditions,
