GRADE 5 (Supervision. POINT OF ENTRY A Grade Four worker who has completed training and successful assessment in the following disciplines: Supervision Report writing Communication with other departments Certificate or diploma applicable to the field of speciality TRAINING For promotion to the level of Grade Six, a Grade Five (Supervision stream) worker will be trained to take on the responsibilities of leading all of the departments within the laboratory in which the Supervisor is employed. DUTIES Co-ordinating the work of employees within a department. Maintaining Company standards relating to safety, quality and production volume. Note: Personnel who would be required to carry out these duties would be those responsible for but not limited to departments such as: Quality Control Analytical Quality Control Vintage Laboratory Microbiology Laborator Duties include instructing workers in the modules which are essential to operations in the laboratory in which the workers are employed; with a conscious effort to continuously improve worker skills. Other duties will include: Non-routine / Trial Work Design new tests / trials as required Investigate analytical exceptions Special projects
