Grievance Hearing and System Board Appeals. 1. The Director Inflight Service, or her/his designee (or the MEC President in the case of a Company grievance) will conduct a hearing bi-monthly (once every two months) on a mutually agreed upon date, or otherwise as mutually agreed. All grievances filed since the prior hearing date will be heard, unless the parties mutually agree to hear a grievance sooner or later than the next scheduled monthly meeting.

  • Grievance Hearings Each grievance hearing will be conducted by the designated administrator to determine what, if any, violation of this Agreement has occurred. Hearings will be attended by the grievant, the Hearing officer, and up to two (2) additional representatives designated by the parties respective sides. The parties may request and mutually agree that additional witnesses/representatives may attend. Witnesses will be permitted to attend hearings in those instances when the grievant and/or the Union need information more specific than that available to the grievant or Union. The parties agree that the University will schedule grievance hearings no later than two (2) hours prior to the end of the grievant’s and/or Union representative’s work shift, and the grievant will be released from duty early enough to be able to attend the grievance hearing as scheduled. If such hearings extend beyond the end of the normal work schedule of any bargaining unit member(s), the bargaining unit member(s) present at the grievance hearing will not be paid for any time spent after the end of the work schedule. Grievance hearings for bargaining unit members whose work schedules are other than the standard day shift will be scheduled at mutually convenient times. A “class action” grievance is when more than one (1) employee files a grievance over the same alleged violation, misapplication and/or misinterpretation of the terms of the Agreement. When such occurs the grievant or the Union will attempt to identify the bargaining unit members initially involved in the class action grievance, or will provide a description of the class in sufficient detail to enable the University to investigate the grievance. In class action grievances no more than one (1) grievant may attend the hearings.

The determination letter will provide you with the rationale for our response as well as information on any possible next steps available to you. When filing a complaint, please provide the following information: • your name, address, member ID number; • the date of the incident or service; • summary of the issue; • any previous contact with BCBSRI concerning the issue; • a brief description of the relief or solution you are seeking; and • additional information such as referral forms, claims, or any other documentation that you would like us to review.   • Grievance Committee The Hospital will recognize a Grievance Committee composed of the Chief Xxxxxxx and not more than (as set out in Local Provisions Appendix) employees selected by the Union who have completed their probationary period. A general representative of the Union may be present at any meeting of the Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to deal with complaints or grievances as set out in this Collective Agreement. The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of the members of the Grievance Committee appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. A Committee member shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending grievance meetings with the Hospital up to, but not including arbitration. The number of employees on the Grievance Committee shall be determined locally.

  • Grievance Commissioner System This is to confirm the discussion of the parties during collective bargaining that they are committed to encouraging early discussion and resolution of labour relations issues at the local level and seek to resolve grievances in a timely and cost efficient manner. To that end, this is to confirm that pursuant to Article 8, the parties agree that the Employer and Union at individual nursing homes may agree to utilize the following process in order to resolve a particular grievance through the utilization of a joint mediation-arbitration procedure:

  • Grievance Arbitration Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, for the purposes of this Article, an Employee has the right to grieve any filling of a vacancy or Assignment in the bargaining unit.

  • CENTRAL LABOUR RELATIONS COMMITTEE C4.1 OPSBA, the Crown and OSSTF agree to establish a joint Central Labour Relations Committee to promote and facilitate communication between rounds of bargaining on issues of joint interest.

  • Arbitration Board Hearings Where operational requirements permit, the Employer shall grant leave without loss of pay to a reasonable number of employees representing the Union before an Arbitration Board, provided the dispute involves the Employer.

  • Central Dispute Resolution Committee a) There shall be established a Central Dispute Resolution Committee (CDRC), which shall be composed of two (2) representatives from each of the central parties, and two (2) representatives of the Crown.

  • Grievance Commissioner The Employer and Union may mutually agree in writing to invoke the Commissioner Process rather than proceed to arbitration as set out in this Collective Agreement. All cases referred to arbitration where an employee has a grievance concerning discipline will only be referred to a Grievance Commissioner if the Employer and the Union agree in writing on all the facts. The parties may also agree to group grievances before a single Grievance Commissioner. A Grievance Commissioner (where more than one, acting in rotation) will set aside such time as may be requested by the Employer and the Union to consider and determine grievances referred to them. A Grievance Commissioner shall have the same powers and be subject to the same limitations as a Board of Arbitration hereunder, save and except as expressly provided in 9.18 to 9.22 hereof.
