Grievance Timelines. This chart summarizes the grievance timelines. An employee must meet the timelines at each level to move to subsequent levels of appeal. Failure of the grievant or the Association to comply with any time limits specified in this procedure shall constitute withdrawal of the grievance. Failure of the District to respond to a written grievance within the time limits specified in this procedure shall allow the grievant to move the grievance to the next step of the grievance procedure. The District and Association may mutually agree in writing to extend the time limits at any one of the steps. If any of the above dates fall on a day not part of the standard employment contract for staff, then the deadline will be moved to the next such workday.
