Common use of Holiday During Vacation Period Clause in Contracts

Holiday During Vacation Period. If a holiday occurs during the calendar week in which a vacation is taken by an employee, the employee's vacation period shall be extended by the length of such holiday. The number of employees that will be allowed to be on vacation during the same time will be subject to the approval of the Department or Division Head. Should an emergency arise at the time of vacation all employee vacations may be cancelled provided the employees' services are required.
