Holidays Falling During Leave or Time Off. a. Leave on pay – Where a public holiday falls during a period of annual leave, sick leave on pay or special leave on pay, an employee is entitled to that holiday which is not to be debited against such leave. This provision does not apply to a holiday falling during annual or retiring leave after the employee has ceased work prior to leaving the University, unless the employee has worked at any time during the fortnight ending the day on which the holiday is observed.
