Household Emergencies. Please provide the name and number of a trusted maintenance company or a person you can rely on to attend to any household emergencies that may arise during your absence. This includes but is not limited to; leaking pipes, malfunctioning water heaters and heating and air units. Every attempt will be made to contact you for instructions first, and non-emergencies will wait for your return unless otherwise requested.

In the event of a true emergency such as a fire, flood, or break-in, I will do everything I can to see that the proper authorities are contacted and that your pet is housed in a safe location. If your home is unsafe, this may be at a local kennel or veterinarian, and the client will be responsible for those charges. Early Returns/Last minute Changes: It is common for trip plans to change at the last minute. If your trip plans change, please inform me as soon as possible. If I arrive at your house and you are home already, you will be charged for the visit. Holiday Trip Cancellations: I do not charge for trip cancellations if you have a good reason, such as medical emergency, death in the family, or extreme weather conditions. Emergencies happen! However, please be aware that I may have scheduled my own plans or turned away others on your behalf. If you have cancelled a holiday visit, I will require a deposit before your next holiday reservation. Grooming Trips - $10.00 per trip Vet Trips - $10.00 per trip / up to 30 minutes. $8.00 per each additional 15 minutes I’m required to remain at the veterinarian’s office. Emergency Vet Trips - $10.00 per half hour. I will notify both you and your emergency contact immediately in an effort to keep this cost at a minimum.

  • Emergencies 10.3.1 In any emergency affecting the safety of persons or property, the Contractor shall act to prevent threatened damage, injury or loss. Any additional compensation or extension of time claimed by the Contractor on account of emergency work shall be determined as provided in Article 12 for Changes in the Work.

An educator will be granted up to five (5) days of leave per year to cover situations beyond the control of the educator which would significantly impair teaching service.   • Medical Care and Emergency Leave An employee is entitled to a leave of absence without pay because of any of the following: 1. A personal illness, injury or medical emergency. 2. The death, illness, injury or medical emergency of an individual described in this Article. 3. An urgent matter that concerns an individual described in this Article. For the purposes of this Article, the individuals referred to in this Article are: - the employee’s spouse - a parent, step-parent or xxxxxx parent of the employee or the employee’s spouse - a child, step-child or xxxxxx child of the employee or the employee’s spouse - a grandparent, step-grandparent, grandchild or step-grandchild of the employee or of the employee’s spouse - the spouse of a child of the employee - the employee’s brother or sister - a relative of the employee who is dependent on the employee for care or assistance. An employee who wishes to take leave under this section shall advise his or her Hospital that he or she will be doing so. If the employee must begin the leave before advising the Hospital, the employee shall advise the Hospital of the leave as soon as possible after beginning it. An employee is entitled to take a total of 10 days’ leave under this section each year. If an employee takes any part of a day as leave under this section, the Hospital may deem the employee to have taken one day’s leave on that day for the purposes of this Article. The Hospital may require an employee who takes leave under this section to provide evidence reasonable in the circumstances that the employee is entitled to the leave. Upon the conclusion of an employee’s leave under this Article, the Hospital shall reinstate the employee to the position the employee most recently held with the Hospital, if it still exists, or to a comparable position, if it does not.

  • Emergency Calls IP Phones need an additional power supply to operate. In the event of a power failure it is your responsibility to ensure you have the means to make emergency calls. In accordance with paragraph 13.2, we will not be liable for any loss or damage (financial or otherwise) where you fail to do so.

  • Unforeseeable Emergency In the event of a Participant’s Unforeseeable Emergency, such Participant may request an emergency withdrawal from his or her Account. Any such request shall be subject to the approval of the Administrator, which approval shall not be granted to the extent that such need may be relieved (i) through reimbursement or compensation by insurance or otherwise or (ii) by liquidation of the Participant’s assets (to the extent the liquidation of such assets would not itself cause severe financial hardship). A Participant may withdraw all or a portion of his or her Account due to an Unforeseeable Emergency; provided, however, that the withdrawal shall not exceed the amount reasonably needed to satisfy the need created by the Unforeseeable Emergency.

  • Emergency Room Services This plan covers services received in a hospital emergency room when needed to stabilize or initiate treatment in an emergency. If your condition needs immediate or urgent, but non-emergency care, contact your PCP or use an urgent care center. This plan covers bandages, crutches, canes, collars, and other supplies incidental to your treatment in the emergency room as part of our allowance for the emergency room services. Additional services provided in the emergency room such as radiology or physician consultations are covered separately from emergency room services and may require additional copayments. The amount you pay is based on the type of service being rendered. Follow-up care services, such as suture removal, fracture care or wound care, received at the emergency room will require an additional emergency room copayment. Follow- up care services can be obtained from your primary care provider or a specialist. See Dental Services in Section 3 for information regarding emergency dental care services.

  • Personal Illness Employees may use accumulated sick leave for hours off due to personal illness. The employee may be required to furnish a medical certificate from a qualified physician as evidence of illness or physical disability in order to qualify for paid sick leave as per District practice. Accumulated sick leave may also be granted for such time as is actually necessary for office visits to a doctor, dentist, optometrist, etc.

  • Emergency A circumstance requiring immediate action; a sudden, unexpected happening; an unforeseen occurrence or condition.

  • Emergency Work Employees who are required to report for emergency work on non- workdays, or outside of their regular hours of work on a scheduled workday or on holidays which they are entitled to have off, shall be paid overtime compensation for the actual work time and for travel time in connection therewith, but such travel time shall not exceed one-half (1/2) hour.

  • Interconnection Customer Compensation for Actions During Emergency Condition The CAISO shall compensate the Interconnection Customer in accordance with the CAISO Tariff for its provision of real and reactive power and other Emergency Condition services that the Interconnection Customer provides to support the CAISO Controlled Grid during an Emergency Condition in accordance with Article 11.6.
