Ice Rental. Participants who will be accessing the ice surface and are not members of the Lancaster and District Curling Club, must review the Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims and Indemnity Agreement and acknowledge, agree and sign the group waiver. Anyone under the age of 26 must confirm that they have reviewed Ontario’s Concussion Awareness Resources. Participants 12 years and younger must wear a helmet on the ice surface. ❖ Clean soft-soled shoes with good grip are to be worn on the ice. Running shoes may be used if soles are washed and all dirt removed prior to getting on the ice. Curling brooms, grippers and sliders are available for use at no additional charge. Helmets are not provided. ❖ Responsibility: Responsibility for the group is assumed by the individual signing the contract. Ice Rental. (a) Tenant shall have first priority for the rental of Facility ice time between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays. Tenant shall identify a base schedule of ice time commitment on a monthly basis, no less than 30 days prior to the beginning of each month, which shall be non- refundable. Thereafter, Landlord shall be entitled to rent ice time to third parties. Nothing in this provision shall restrict Tenant from reserving non-refundable ice time further in advance, or purchasing ice time on an “as available” basis with a shorter notice period.
Ice Rental. 4.6.1 The PCC offers four (4) sheets of curling ice that are installed to the standards of Curling Canada. Scoreboards are provided and a limited supply of basic equipment (brooms, sliders, grippers) is available, if requested in advance. An equipment rental deposit of $50.00 will be applied on the day of the ice rental and refunded when the equipment is returned at the end of the rental.
