INCOME PROTECTION/SICK LEAVE. 1301 The Centre agrees to recognize income protection credits accumulated prior to the signing of this Collective Agreement. 1302 Income protection credits shall accumulate at the rate of one and one-quarter (1¼) days per month. Unused income protection credits can be accumulated up to a maximum of one hundred and nineteen (119) calendar days. Probationary employees shall not be entitled to access income protection credits however, upon successful completion of their probationary period, income protection credits earned shall be calculated based upon the actual start date. 1303 An employee shall be entitled to utilize income protection (sick leave) to provide care to their dependent minor child, or adult dependents with medical disabilities, spouse, parent, mother in law or father in law, and relative or any other dependent minor relative who has been residing in the same household for at least the previous six (6) months, who is sick, injured or requires assistance to attend medical appointments.
INCOME PROTECTION/SICK LEAVE. 24:01 An employee who is absent due to illness or injury which is not eligible for compensation by either the WCB subject to 25:01 (1) or by MPI as a result of a motor vehicle accident subject to 25:01 (2), shall be paid her regular basic salary to the extent that she has accumulated income protection credits. The Employer reserves the right to verify that a claim for income protection is not made with respect to any injury for which lost earnings are compensated by MPI.

  • Income Protection All workers will be covered by the extended Incolink Leisure Time Insurance and Income protection Scheme which provides defined weekly payments ($500 per week to workers with dependants, $400 per week to workers without dependants) for up to a maximum 104 weeks in the event of an extended work absence arising from any personal illness or injury (whether or not work related). The costs of this benefit will be shared between Incolink and the company on a 30/70 basis. Agreed premium costs will be: Incolink - $2.10 per week/worker Employer - $4.90 per week/worker It is a condition of the company’s agreement to provide this benefit that premium costs be maintained at not more than the February 1998 equivalent. In the event of premium costs escalating, the parties are agreed that the benefits table will be revised downwards so as to contain premium costs within the agreed limits. To maintain this cover the company agrees to pay the amounts every week for each employee. In the event the company does not maintain the above policy, the company will be liable in full to pay equivalent benefits to an employee who meets eligibility criteria as set out in the policy document.

  • – DISABILITY INCOME PROTECTION PLAN 14.01 Income protection is payable when a full-time employee is absent from work due to legitimate personal illness or injury which is not compensable under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act. It is understood that payment of income protection is for the sole and only purpose of protecting employees against the loss of income during time of such illness. Seniority and service will accrue and the Employer shall continue to pay its share of the premium for the benefit plans during the period of the income protection noted in this provision.

  • Disability Income Protection 3.4.1 The District shall maintain a policy of disability income protection for tenured and tenure-track faculty working fifty percent (50%) or more of a regular, full-time workload.   • Vacation and Sick Leave Administration (a) for the purposes of administration of clauses 34.11 and 34.12, where an employee does not work the same number of hours each week, the normal workweek shall be the weekly average calculated on a monthly basis.

  • Annual Paid Sick Leave Fifteen (15) days sick leave per year shall be earned by an employee at the rate of 1.25 days for every month that an employee is employed.

  • Portability of Sick Leave 1. The employer will accept up to sixty (60) accumulated sick leave days from other school districts in British Columbia, for employees hired to or on exchange in the district.
