Common use of Inductions Clause in Contracts

Inductions. a) Prior to first attending the site, all employees shall have successfully completed the Basic Site Induction course conducted by a Registered Training Organisation (“RTO”). Employees shall provide proof evidencing same if requested. b) In addition, all new employees of the company will be properly informed by Management of: ▪ The Rights and Obligations of this Agreement including its disputes/grievance resolution procedures; ▪ The appropriate issue of work clothing and safety equipment as per this Agreement; ▪ Company Safety Rules and Procedures including relevant legislation; c) Furthermore, it is recognised that workplace safety is aided if all new entrants to a particular project receive an induction to the particulars and peculiarities of that site. In order to achieve this it is recommended that, all persons performing or supervising work who are new to the site shall be given an explanation of the following by Site Management (or their authorized representative): ▪ Site Safety Rules and Procedures including relevant legislation; ▪ Site-specific matters such as security, etc. procedures. d) The induction presentation and material shall have regard to the language skills of the employee/employer.
