Access to Training. 21.5.1 Vocational training and education may be offered to Employees as part of a formal training plan developed for example, as part of a traineeship or apprenticeship. Training may also be offered on the recommendation of a supervisor or upon application by an Employee. Eligibility for training is subject to the Selection Criteria as set out at Appendix 2.
21.5.2 In Straddle operations, where supported by local terminal needs it is the intention of the Company to train new Employees in a straddle within the first twelve (12) months of employment.
21.5.3 In all other modes of operation, where supported by local terminal needs it is the intention of the Company to provide two (2) skills to a new Employee within the first twelve (12) months of employment.
Access to Training. A. As supervisors are made aware of OPM or EPA training opportunities generally applicable to employees in the work unit, the supervisor will make the information available to employees except where the information is disseminated to all employees in the unit through either email notices or computer data bases (“unit”, for purposes of this section, refers to employees working for common first-level supervisor). Employees have an individual responsibility for researching training opportunities that can increase their potential or enhance their opportunity for advancement.
B. When new technology or equipment is introduced in a unit and creates the need for different knowledge, skills, or abilities in that work unit, the Employer agrees, if practicable, to provide training to those employees directly affected.
Access to Training. The Employer’s commitment is that Employees will have access to training that will allow them the opportunity to progress through the qualification levels with the intention, where practicable, of achieving KFC Gold Star, Pizza Hut Expert Gold, Carl’s Jr. Star within 12 months of employment. This is dependent on the Employee taking up the opportunity for learning and development including the number of shifts worked and demonstration of competency. The Employer will provide training for an Employee and pay at that Employee’s ordinary hourly rate of pay while the Employee is attending required training sessions. An Employee will attend the training and co-operate to learn the skills as quickly as possible.
Access to Training. The Employer is committed to the principle of training for all employees. Whenever feasible, training shall be made available for each employee within a classification within a division to prepare them to perform all the job duties associated with that classification. Equal access to training opportunities to the extent that operational requirements permit shall be provided.
Access to Training. A. Employees shall be permitted to attend job-related professional development training during work hours, subject to their supervisor’s approval considering the work, staffing, and financial constraints of EFF. EFF shall cover the costs of such training.
B. Employees may attend job-related training or obtain training materials at a cost of up to $500.00 per year subject to their supervisor’s prior approval, with such approval not to be unreasonably denied. Supervisors may approve training exceeding this amount. Conferences and events that staffers are assigned to attend (and which are pre-approved in the budget process) or as part of a team’s regular work are not included in this training amount.
C. When an employee moves between positions or assumes new responsibilities, EFF shall provide training necessary to carry out the expectations of the employee in their new position. Such training shall include, but is not limited to general orientation to the new role, specific skills training, and ongoing mentorship.
Access to Training. Individual training for different types of skills can be offered if there is a mutual agreement between the employee and the employer. The employer has the right to confirm any justified training request. There are two (2) types of training depending on the goal of the training: • onboarding training, and • employability and skill development program. These trainings can be implemented through the following means: • introductory tutoring for practical and technological aspects of a function, • on-the-job training programs and team briefings for both new and existing employees, where they are requested to perform new duties, • coaching and mentoring programs providing a new employee with professional advice and support by the direct hierarchical superiors and supervisors, • specific training courses developed either by internal or external experts and/or trainers in light of specific business needs and tailor-made for the employees, • internal trainings / interships in different departments of the institution, • e-learning courses, • distance training or teaching courses, and • any other public training programs (certifying or not) by specialised training institutes. For each type of training, the employer needs to ensure a high level of quality of trainers and content.
Access to Training. Upon payment of all sums due under this Agreement by Customer, E-SPIN will grant each Attendee (i) a non-exclusive, non- transferable license to access the particular Training Services for which Customer has paid, and (ii) a non-exclusive, non- transferable license to use a single copy of the Materials. For On Demand Training and Exams, E-SPIN will provide Customer with an access code for each item purchased. Customer may use each access code only for as many Attendees as are authorized by such code to receive access to the Training Services. Customer must purchase the appropriate number of access codes to allow participation by each Attendee. Each access code will provide Customer a period of time, as specified by E-SPIN, in which to access the specific Training Services ordered. E-SPIN endeavors to make its classroom locations accessible for students with disabilities. E-SPIN will make reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities provided that Customer advises E-SPIN of their requirements with sufficient advance notice to accommodate such requests (additional services charges involve, please discuss with the customer service representative for those additional need and requirement).
Access to Training. All Training notification systems shall be available to the Union and employees.
Access to Training. All training material will be available to Client through online knowledge management system, including detailed documentation of platform updates. The Knowledge Management System is accessible to all authorized users as part of the software platform. Client-specific training requirements will be addressed separately in a Statement of Work.
