Common use of Information for New Employees Clause in Contracts

Information for New Employees. The Employer agrees to acquaint new employees covered by the terms of this Agreement with the fact that a Collective Agreement is in effect, and with the conditions of employment set out in Article 7. The Employer shall provide each new employee with a copy of the current Collective Agreement, all benefit and Retirement Income Plan, and with the name and location of the Job Xxxxxxx in the area where the employee is assigned. The Employer agrees that a Job Xxxxxxx shall be given an opportunity without loss of pay, for one (1) hour within the first thirty (30) days of employment to acquaint the new Employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and the Employee’s responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.

The Employer agrees that a Job Xxxxxxx job xxxxxxx shall be given an opportunity to meet with new employees within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for one (1) hour within the first thirty (30) days of employment to acquaint for the new Employee purpose of acquainting the employees with the benefits and duties of Union membership and the Employee’s employee responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.

The Union shall provide the area where Employer, free of charge, with sufficient copies of the employee is assignedcurrent Collective Agreement for this purpose. The Employer agrees that a Job Xxxxxxx or other Union representative shall be given an opportunity to meet privately with new employees during regular working hours, without loss of paypay for all involved, for one (1) hour within the first thirty (30) calendar days of commencement of employment to acquaint for the purpose of acquainting the new Employee employees with the benefits and duties of Union membership and the Employee’s responsibilities their rights and obligations to as Union members and under the Employer and the UnionCollective Agreement.
