Injured Workers. 1. Any employee who suffers an industrial injury or industrial illness during the workday while employed shall be compensated for the full day even though he may have to leave work to visit the doctor. Furthermore, such employee shall be compensated by the Employer for the first time lost on not more than two (2) additional visits to the doctor, provided that the employee in question is still working for the Employer at the time of the two (2) additional visits to the doctor. 2. The Employer shall provide payments to the Health and Welfare Trust for an employee who sustains an injury arising out of and occurring in the course and scope of his employment, for all periods of time that the employee is, because of said disability, unable to return to his usual and customary duties, in order to provide three (3) months additional coverage over that regularly provided for in the Health and Welfare Trust, or when the employee is entitled to coverage on a permanent disability basis, whichever is sooner. The employee must have 500 or more hours of service in the trade as a Union member over the last twelve (12) months.
Injured Workers. (a) An employee who is injured during working hours and who is required to leave for treatment or is sent home as a result of such injury shall receive payment for the rest of the shift at his/her regular rate of pay. (b) Such employee shall be provided with transportation to his/her doctor's office or hospital and to his/her home.

  • Injured Workers Provisions At the time an injury occurs, the injured worker's employer shall provide transportation for the worker (if the worker needs it) to a hospital or a physician located within a reasonable distance or to the worker's home. The employer shall pay for the transportation.

  • Shift Workers All shift workers (i.e. workers whose shift commences at or after the end of the ordinary day work hours) presenting for work when the temperature is at or over 35°C will remain on site in air conditioned amenities for a minimum two hours, holding themselves available to commence work should the temperature fall below 35°C.

  • Independent Contractor; Workers’ Compensation Insurance The Contractor is performing as an independent entity under this Contract.   • Polygraph Tests The Employer agrees that polygraph or similar lie detector tests will not be used.
