Common use of JOB VACANCY Clause in Contracts

JOB VACANCY. 11.01 Job postings will be available on-line on the Company’s internal website, and, at the Company’s discretion, may also be posted on external websites used for that purpose. Such notice shall include the title and job duties of the position available, the skills required for the position, the closing date for submission of bids, and the work location of the position. Only those job vacancies which the Company has declared to be a job vacancy will be available for employee bids and applications from outside of the bargaining unit or outside of the Company. Notice will be posted one (1) week in advance of filling of vacancy. 11.02 Applications must be submitted electronically within the specified time period using the on-line application tool provided by the Company. The application shall contain a clear, concise statement of the applicant’s background, training and overall qualifications and the reasons the applicant should be considered for the position. For bargaining unit employees, the job will be considered a promotion if it pays a higher maximum rate than the job in which the employee is presently working. 11.03 An employee who has been selected on a job vacancy may not bid or request another job vacancy for twelve (12) months from the day he or she was placed in the new job. An employee who submits a bid on a job vacancy and is selected as the successful candidate but elects not to accept the new job, may not bid or request another job vacancy for twelve (12) months from the day he or she rejects the job offer. Exceptions require management approval if there are no qualified bidders. 11.04 These limitations shall not apply to an employee force adjusted under Article 10 to the extent that the employee is seeking to retreat to the position from which the employee was force adjusted.

When an application is completed and delivered to the Company’s internal website, andthe employee will receive a written acknowledgement. In the event that a vacancy occurs in any classification covered by this Agreement, at the Company’s discretion, may also such vacancy will be posted on external websites used for that purposethe employeesʼ bulletin board in the plant. Only those job vacancies which the Company has declared to be a job vacancy Employees who have submitted completed application forms will be available given first consideration for employee bids and applications from outside of these vacancies. 4:02 If, in the bargaining unit or outside opinion of the Company. Notice , any or all the applications do not have the required qualifications the employee will be posted one (1) week in advance of filling of vacancynotified accordingly. 11.02 Applications must (A) If a person designated as a trainee (learning a job he has not previously performed) he will remain at his present level of pay for one month. For Company will allow bargaining unit employeesemployees to practice welding in the shop outside of normal working hours, the job including lunch. Welding machines and consumable materials (within reason) will be considered a promotion if it pays a higher maximum rate than provided by the job in which the employee is presently working. 11.03 An employee who has been selected on a job vacancy may not bid or request another job vacancy Company for twelve (12) months from the day he or she was placed in the new jobthis purpose. An employee can request to take the Company 6G Welding test on his own time, and if the employee passes, this shall be recorded in the employeeʼs record with a copy given to the employee. Those employees who submits have passed this test will be given the first opportunity to apply to a bid welding position requiring a 6G ticket. Employees who apply for the position must at that time again pass the Company 6G test, and the position would then be filled on a job vacancy and is selected as the basis of seniority amongst the successful candidate but elects applicants. If an employeeʼs welding skills are not up to accept the new jobdate, may not bid or request another job vacancy for twelve (12) months from the day he or she rejects the job offer. Exceptions require management approval if there are no qualified bidders. 11.04 These limitations shall not apply to an employee force adjusted under Article 10 to the extent that the employee is seeking will be given three days to retreat practice welding on his own time prior to taking the position from 6G test which determines his eligibility to fill the employee was force adjustedposition.
